Valkyrie is a rapidly growing Veteran-Owned Small Business headquartered in Virginia Beach, VA founded in 2007 by President and CEO Gary Lisota.

A Warrior in the Defense Industry

The Valkyries come from the Norse, or Viking, mythology, and they appear in many Viking cultures. They are colorfully immortalized as supernatural battle-maidens, riding the clouds in warrior armor, sent to the battlefields by the Viking gods to support the warriors and to help bring victory. One of the first known references to the aurora borealis comes from this same mythology. The Vikings believed that these northern lights were caused by light flickering off the Valkyries' armor as they rode through the sky. The Valkyries had names that translated to things like "battle," "strength," "raging victory bringer," "spear of battle," "she who drives victory," and "knower of the mysteries of victory."
